Become part of Hawaii’s conservation story

The Friends of Haleakala National Park lead monthly 2-3 day service trips in one of Haleakala's historic wilderness cabins to restore native ecosystems of the Park.  Volunteers typically pull weeds, and occasionally help repair cabins.  You will get a chance to work in the Kipahulu District of Haleakala, home to many freshwater streams and pools.  Participants bring: first day's water, sun and rain protection, work gloves, comfortable boots or walking shoes, sleeping bag, extra socks, breakfasts, lunches, dinner food contributions as coordinated by the leader, personal supplies, a flashlight.
