Become part of Hawaii’s conservation story

When: •Saturday, March 15th from 9am to 3pm (We will be planting koa and a`ali`i up on Kalahe`e Ridge = Amazing Views. •Thursday, March 20th from 9am to 3pm (We will likely be planting koa and a`ali`i on Kalahe`e Ridge) •Sunday, March 30th from 9am to 3pm (We will likely be planting koa and a`ali`i on Kalahe`e Ridge) Where: Meet at Waimea Valley Botanical Office at 9am What: We shall be driving up onto Kalahe`e Ridge to restore the native forest. We will be cutting down strawberry guava and a few other weeds and grasses (Tools will be provided) We will also do some out-planting of natives trees Native Seed collection How Many: We are looking for at least 12 people (for each date) ages 12 and up. Room for 4 or 5 in the ATV. Please call or RSVP as soon as you can commit to the date(s). Please specify the date. What to bring: Water (at least 2 liters) Lunch Rain gear (if you have) Insect repellent (just for the hike or ride up) Close toed Shoes (REQUIRED) Sun screen Hat Long pants Long sleeved shirt A Positive Attitude! Terrain: The terrain is moderate to easy for Kalahe`e Ridge. ***Please email me or call if you are interested*** **Also, please specify which date you plan on volunteering**
