Ke Kumu ‘Āina Supervisor is responsible for the design and delivery of ‘āina-based education for groups of learners of all ages. The supervisor will lead Ke Kumu ‘Āina (KK‘A) staff and community members in turning ancestral knowledge and research into action along a continuum of learning. This position focuses on The Kohala Center’s HĀ strategic initiatives to increase the application of cultural content and context from Hawai‘i in a K-12 learning environment and to uplift conditions for engaging respectfully with Hawai‘i. An experienced supervisor with long-standing relationship to the ‘āina of Kohala and proficiency in ‘ōlelo Hawai‘i is highly desired.
