The Keauhou Bird Conservation Center is seeking a permanent staff member to help care for Hawaiian birds in Volcano, Hawaii Island.

All interested candidates are encouraged to apply! The successful candidate will enjoy working outside and taking care of animals. Daily responsibilities include maintaining facilities, preparing bird food, cleaning bird cages, observing and recording behaviors, conducting research, and assisting with veterinary care.

Qualifications include: a degree in any of the sciences (and/or equivalent vocational experience in wildlife sciences, conservation, animal husbandry, and/or a similar science); practical skills that are useful for facility maintenance; valid drivers license and in good standing with the DMV; color vision to identify diverse colored identification bands on birds.
