The Biological Science Technician provides technical support and assistance to biologists. You will serve as a member of a team in conducting biological surveys to gather field data and conducting habitat management activities, primarily invasive species control. Major duties include:

Conduct control program of small exotic predators (i.e. cats, rats, mongoose) using live and kill traps to protect endangered waterbirds. Conduct plant identification surveys to gather field data. Monitor native plants. Monitor, control, and eradicate alien or invasive plant species using chemical and/or mechanical control methods. Conduct wildlife census surveys to collect biological data. Observe, monitor, and record a wide variety of basic data on species populations, behavioral information, and habitat conditions. Collect, store, organize, and transfer raw data sheets to digital files and input data into computer databases.
