MKFRP is looking for a talented, energetic, and hard-working Field Assistant to help in restoring the high-elevation dry forest of Mauna Kea. As part of the MKFRP team, you will the monitor and control non-native predators, alien plants, and feral ungulates; conduct restoration of dryland forest including seed collection and processing, propagation, outplanting, and monitoring of native species at restoration areas; collect and analyze technical field data, and assists with report writing. You'll also assist with coordinating volunteers and interns, and work with other field technicians to conduct resource management work. Must be able to adapt to changing plans, makes wise decisions as new circumstances arise, and communicates observations and ideas to supervisors to develop solutions to on-going and new challenges to accomplishing project goals.
