Plant Field Crew Member

• Employment Type: Accepting applications for full-time & part–time temporary (5-month) field positions with potential for longer term employment. Positions start July/August

• Shifts: 8-hour shifts, Monday – Friday (7AM - 3:30PM) 

• Salary: Starting salary is $17.30/hour 

• Experience: Introductory level. Training will be provided, no experience is necessary.

• Crew-Specific Responsibilities: Work involves hiking off trail in rough terrain, the ability to identify native and non-native plants, mechanical and chemical control of  plants, interact with community members, maintain detailed records, and navigate using GPS 

• Location: Day starts and ends at MISC Paia Baseyard, use State vehicles to access various sites across Maui from sea level to summit. Occasional overnight camping required in remote forest locations accessed only by Helicopter.

• Basic Qualifications: Must have a current driver’s license, reliable personal transportation, and high school diploma or GED equivalent.
