Limahuli  Garden and Preserve has an immediate Full Time opening for the position of  Conservation Operations Coordinator as an essential component of Limahuli’s conservation team.  This is a temporary position with an anticipated term of six months.

 

This position will collaboratively plan and coordinate the implementation of work priorities in grants, contracts, and other projects.  In addition, will work to ensure field work is completed according to institutional standards, and is congruous with overarching strategic goals for the institution. The Coordinator will be the lead liaison with key stakeholders in the Preserve and also coordinate service-learning projects for volunteer, education, cultural, and community groups; as well as the logistical planning for research teams.

 

Requires strong computer, interpersonal, collaborative, analysis and organizational skills. Must have demonstrated knowledge of GIS, grants, project management and budgeting. Ability to work in the field for up to a week at a time and be capable of working in variable weather conditions in sometimes difficult terrain.

 

A college degree and at least three years of related experience is required
