Description of Opportunity

The Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement (CNHA) is seeking applicants for 2 (two) internship positions at federal entities in Washington, D.C. This is a unique opportunity for emerging Native Hawaiian leaders to learn about governance and shape public policy at the Federal level.
 
CNHA is committed to the development of future Native Hawaiian leaders. The federal internship program will offer participants:
 
  • practical insight into the work of federal entities that directly impact the Hawaiian community;
  • direct mentorship and support from CNHA's Native Hawaiian Policy Center;
  • engagement with national policy advocates;
  • a potential advocacy training opportunity in Atlanta, Georgia.
 
CNHA has a vast network of ties and affiliations with congressional and administrative offices, as well as Native American and Asian American & Pacific Islander-serving organizations. Placement of interns will be decided once the interns are selected.
