‘Ahihi-Kina’u is Hawaii’s first Natural Area Reserve. It is the only NAR to contain land and marine components. Fragile anchialine ponds, unique assemblages of coral reef, numerous archeological sites, and lava fields from the last eruption of Haleakala are what make this reserve special.
